Labour's dithering over Stamp Duty
Philip Hammond has accused Labour of playing "damaging short-term games" with the property market after they raised the possibility of a suspension of Stamp Duty but did not confirm it one way or another.
Philip, the Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury, attacked the uncertainty created by Labour's dithering, stressing that they had undermined the housing market at a historically low point.
And he called for Labour to adopt our plans to lift the Stamp Duty threshold for first-time buyers to £250,000.
