A1 Campaign gathers pace

Dual the A1

Anne-Marie Trevelyan, founder of the A1 Campaign Group, is thrilled by the unanimous support the Campaign is getting from every quarter. Following the inaugural meeting on 14th October in Berwick, Anne-Marie has been contacted by many groups about how they can help with the Campaign.

Anne-Marie said “Initial meetings with the Federation of Small Businesses and the Institute of Civil Engineers have proved very productive. Each of these organisations is offering technical and practical support for the campaign. They are going to help gather more detailed information and views from their members on just how much the region needs this road dualled from Morpeth into Scotland.

The North East Chamber of Commerce is increasing their lobbying for this issue to move up the political agenda too. I believe we are on the road – long though it will no doubt be – to success.”

Anne-Marie has been amazed by the support coming through from younger supporters who are keen to be heard. For more information please do contact Anne-Marie on anne-marie@berwickconservatives.com

The next meeting of the Campaign Group will be this Friday, November 14th, at 7pm in the Green Room of Berwick Parish Church.
