Last Sunday Wendy Morton joined around 52,000 runners to take part in the Great North Run. After completing her third Great North Run, in the very respectful time of 2 hours and 13 minutes, Wendy said: “It was great to complete the Great North Run again, but the best bit is simply participating - its hard work but fun and you can't fail to be inspired by the huge number of people taking part, for so many charities and good causes.
“I was pleased with my time - a best ever - but the most important thing was to get round the course so that I could collect the sponsorship I had been pledged for the Percy Hedley Foundation.” Through this bulletin Wendy would like to thank all those of you who helped raise over £500 for the North Tyneside based Percy Hedley Foundation, which helps children and babies with cerebral palsy.
