Following Saturday’s final selection round, members of the Hexham constituency have selected Guy Opperman to be the Conservative Parliamentary Candidate.
The selection process was held at Ponteland Memorial Hall. Commenting on his selection, Guy said "I am delighted and honoured to have been selected by local people to be the parliamentary candidate for Hexham. I am grateful for the support given to me by Peter Atkinson, the present MP.
"I know the area well and this is now my home. I will be living and working in Hexham from now on and can't wait to get started."
Peter Atkinson MP added "I watched the selection and Guy was the clear choice. Guy will get things done for Hexham and the North East. I look forward to working together with him from now until the general election."
